Instructional Technology Focus Group

The Instructional Technology Focus Group (ITFG)includes members from the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning: Instructional Technology staff: E-Learning Consultants, and the Instructional Designer, other members includes several faculty members,the ITAP/TAC Manager, select Academic Technology Services (ATS) personnel, select Technical Services personnel, select Application programmers and Media Production personnel. The membership may vary and other people will be called upon to assist based on their expertise.

The group's focus includes the coordination of evaluation of software and information technology tools related to teaching and learning. The group will facilitate on campus demonstrations of products, gather faculty input, and make recommendations. Will encourage the use of the tool to the campus audience, and help coordinate training on the tool.

The group will meet once a month to discuss, share and disseminate information regarding topics of interest.

The group with work in coordination with the Standards Committee. We will present our findings to the Standards Committee before purchasing/deployment any multi-user products. By working together, we can reduce costs, duplication of effort/products, reduce support burden on technical staff, and develop a community of specialists on products to mentor new users.
