A Training course is provided within the Faculty Center Training institution for each participant. Each lesson is designed to demonstrate competencies through authentic learning activities.
Trainees will need liberal access to a broadband Internet connection.
Movies are created using smart classroom recording software to demonstrate each of the processes. The videos are linked to the Wiki. The Movies 600px by 400px, and are in FLV format and delivered using flash and HTML. Each video is limited to two minutes and has been compressed for optimal delivery using Flash Video.
Each of the activities are designed to demonstrate specific competencies related to the Online Instructor Certification (OIC) process. A grid is provided for OIC evaluators who wish to use the Training course for meeting OIC requirements.

Discussion Topics - The facilitator/trainer needs to provide continuous feedback for the trainees. The discussion area will include topics which provoke thought as to how these tools may be best used in regard to Best Practices in Online Delivery of Instruction.
