Students use the MyFSU portal to access their courses whether in FerrisConnect or WebCT. The course links in MyFSU must be configured to go to the correct platform before students will be able to find their courses online.

FerrisConnect courses are automatically populated with students at the time they are created. Once an instructor adds content to the course students may access the course from the My Blackboard portal.

Students access their FerrisConnect courses through the MyFSU portal in one of two ways: they can enter a specific course in the My Courses channel under the Academics & Services tab, or they can click on the FerrisConnect icon in the upper right portion of the the My FSU window.

Before students can use the My Courses channel, the primary instructor needs to configure the course links icon.

To configure MyFSU course links

  • Log Into the MyFSU portal.
  • Select the Faculty Services tab.
  • Within the My Courses channel, click on the "Click here to:" hyperlink.
  • Click on the "Course Edit" button adjacent to the course to be released.
