From FerrisConnect KnowledgeBase

Learning outcomes
When finished with this section the learner will be able to...
- create, edit, and manage folders and files in the File Manager
- download and upload files to the File Manager area
- locate and provide information about student technical support resources
Creating Folders
FerrisConnect allows designers to manage files and folders using the File Manager under Designer Tools. There are two links displayed in the upper left side of the File Manager frame: "Course Files" and "My Files". The "My Files" area allows users to store files which they can access from any course in FerrisConnect. The "Course Files" area is specific to the course the user is in at the time. In other words, if I access the File Manager form my ISYS 105 class, only those files and folders related to the ISYS 105 class are displayed in the "Class Files" area.
Activity - Create Folder Create a folder within the Class Files area of your training course; entitle it "studentHelp".(you will use this folder for the next activity)
Downloading and Uploading Files
Files can be downloaded from either your my files, or course files area. To download files from course files select File Manager under Designer Tools within the Build Tab. Navigate to the file you wish to download, click on the ActionLinks menu adjacent to the file to be downloaded. Select "download" and "save to disk".
Activity - Student Support Resources Download the StudentSupportResources.doc file found in the activities folder. Follow the instructions in the Word document and upload the HTML file you will create to your course using the File Manager. Place the file in the studentHelp folder.
