Copying Content from One FerrisConnect Section to Another

You can copy the content you have already prepared in one section of FerrisConnect to another, e.g. from a development section or from the section you taught last semester.

Once you see the “live” section in your MyBlackboard listing, it will have been created as a blank course.

  • The FIRST time you open it, you are presented with options for how to “construct” the blank course.

  • Select the “Copy content from another course” option.
  • Then select the section with materials you would like to copy from. This operation will copy everything over into the production section.
  • The students are already in the production section, so now you have the course content and the enrollments.

*REMINDER: You still have to release your course to your students in MyFSU so that the MyFSU Course Listing link takes the students to the Course Content Home page of your FerrisConnect course. For more information, see the page on releasing courses to students.
