The Announcements tool may be used for greetings and other important messages for section members in various roles. Instructors can alert users of upcoming or unscheduled events. The announcements tool maintains an archive of past messages for reviewing or printing.

Creating Announcements
The Announcements tool is available in both the Build and Teach tabs. However, to delete or organize announcements a designer must be in the build tab. Announcements can be viewed for a specified period of time, and delivered as pop-up messages when a student next logs in to the course.
Activity - Create an Announcement Select the announcements tool in either the Build or Teach tab. Click on "Create Announcement" and enter a title and message. Example: "Welcome!" "Please take a time to review the syllabus; we will have a brief quiz over this material." Select Teaching Assistant and Student as recipients, and post as a pop-up message.
