Ceiling mounted projectors are used frequently throughout the University for classes and meetings. In order to maximize the life of the projector lamp, here are a few tips:
- Please turn off the projector after you are done with your lessons/presentations or in between your class sessions. Leaving them on for hours at a time will lessen the overall lamp life.
- If you turn it on again, please wait a few minutes before turning it on again to give it a chance to cool down.
If the projector is not responding to the remote control the power may need to be recycled. To do this the main power switch located next to the power cord connector needs to be switched off, then back on after a few minutes. Call the TAC if you need assistance.
Tips for using the remote:
- If the remote doesn't respond at first, try turning off the lights and direct it towards the projector.
And here is a fun trick:
- If the you are at a bad angle to turn on the projector, you can bounce the signal from the remote off of the screen.
