Headings
To create headings on a page place an equal number of equal (=) signs around the text. One one either side of the heading will create Heading 1 level, two = Heading 2, and so on. Once there are more than three headings on a page, a table of contents will appear at the top of the page.
Internal Links
To create an internal link you will put double brackets ([) around the text. This will create a link to another page. If it does not already exist, a new page will be created. The rule of thumb is to create additional pages for separate topics. If you intent to elaborate on a topic, it may be preferable to simply create another heading.
Example: Main Page
To use title other than the name of the existing page, place a pipe (|) between the page name and the alternate title.
Example: Return Home
External Links
To add an external link add single brackets ([) around a title. The title needs to include the full URL followed by a space and the title.
Example: Faculty Center
or just the URL with no title...

Watching Pages
You can "watch" a page by clicking on the watch tab at the top of the page. This will alert you to changes via email. You may need to modify the settings in your preferences if you wish to receive an email when a watched page changes.
These are the options under email in your preferences page:
- E-mail me when a page I'm watching is changed
- E-mail me when my user talk page is changed
- E-mail me also for minor edits of pages
- Enable e-mail from other users
Discussion
Post to the discussion when you have suggestions or constructive criticisms. Otherwise, just change the page itself. If people don't appreciate your changes, they will just change it back.
BTW - sign your discussion postings. If you use three or four tilde signs after your posting, your ID will be added. Knappw
